How the required GPA is calculated

The number you need is the term GPA that, blended with your current GPA, lands exactly on your target:

Required GPA = (target GPA × total credits − current GPA × current credits) ÷ future credits

For example, with a 3.1 GPA over 60 credits, 15 credits left this term, and a target of 3.3:

(3.3 × 75 − 3.1 × 60) ÷ 15 = 4.1

So you would need a 4.1 this term — slightly above a standard 4.0 scale, which means you may need a weighted-grade advantage or more credits to make that target realistic.
